Nia Stamatis - Head Nurse

Bachelor of Science, Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

Nia joined us in 2011 upon completion of her schooling. She has completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Canberra, and is looking to transfer into the Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the completion of her first degree. At home she has two beautiful (and boisterous) German Shepherds that keep her very busy outside of work, as well as one little turtle named Diego. Amazingly Nia also finds time to fit in her commitments to both rowing and hockey, so keep an eye out for her on Lake BG!

Nicki's family has several horses and she has competed in endurance riding (long-distance) for the past 20 years. She also enjoys playing volleyball, polocross and making jewellery.

Sonna Schramm

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

In 2007 Sonna joined Jerrabomberra Veterinary Hospital, and completed her certificate IV in veterinary nursing in 2008. Sonna enjoys working on her continuing education, ensuring she is keeping up to date with new practices, and nursing ideas for our team along the way. Sonna tries to visit the preschool once yearly to discuss with children about animal safety and caring for them, this putting her animals and love for children together. When Sonna isn't looking after all the Jerrabomberra animals she is spending time with her husband Steve, her little boy Cody, who shares her love of animals with her, he is always willing to visit at work and met the new animal visitors and give them a much needed cuddle, and her pets Teddy the shihtzu and Munchkins her rescued cat. Outside of work Sonna's interests are camping, motor bike riding, and cooking.
