Starting an aquarium

Right from the start I will talk about tanks and aquariums. Fishbowls, containers on the kitchen bench, and anything less than 20 Litre capacity will likely result in a slow and premature death to any fish inside unless you are both dedicated and knowledgeable in fish keeping. The 20 Litre rule relates to dissolved oxygen in the water and the need for a certain surface area to allow enough oxygen transfer into the water.
